The focus of our Institute is the Bachelor Degree:

Master Research Unit IMS

The Institute of Mechatronic Systems (IMS) has been qualified as a Master Research Unit (MRU) by the Federal Office for Occupational Training and Technology (BBT). The Research and Development activities of the IMS have been deemed of national importance and have thus met the conditions for a qualification.


Master students in the field of “Industrial Technology” can complete their specialization at the IMS and subsequently write a Master-Thesis.


The IMS offers Projects and Master-Theses in the following areas:

  • Mechatronics
  • Robots and Robot based Systems
  • Vision & Navigation
  • Dynamic Systems, Automation and Control
  • Medical Systems and Instruments
  • Renewable Energies
