Robotics and Roboter based Systems

ECHORD
Within the framework of the European Project ECHORD the experiment JILAS (Jig-Less Airplane Assembly in low volume production by enhanced human robot interaction) is performed at the IMS. The core of this experiment is the research of the cooperation of human worker and industrial robot in an airplane fuselage components assembly task.

Adaptive Robots for Flexible Manufacturing Systems - ARFLEX
In this EU-project, the IMS is supporting industry- and research partners in the development of a new and open robot control concept. This new control concept simplifies the integration of intelligent sensors in robot-applications.

Micro Delta
The goal of this project is to develop a fast and precise robot system. This robot should significantly outperform the precision and speed of current systems and be cost-effective at the same time.

RAAS
The robot-based assistance system RAAS was developed to alleviate the assembly of parts that need to be welded together. In this system, the assistant robot grips and positions the parts that need to be connected, afterwards the welds are applied by an experienced welder. This project was co-financed by the Commission for Technology and Innovation, KTI.

NETHS
Togther with the IMS, a new Automatic Horizontal Container Transshipment System, NETHS, was developed – an innovative automation-solution for handling containers between road and rail transports.

PABADiS
PABADiS (Plant Automation based on distributed Systems) is an international EUREKA research project. The goal of this project is the development of a highly flexible and adaptive plant control-concept.

WAPISMO
The WAPISMO project involved the development and construction of a robot that is used for determining the condition of water pipes (e.g. corrosion). This project was co-financed by the Commission for Technology and Innovation, KTI.
