SCATh Smart CATheterization
Smart Catheterisation (SCATh) develops a system for accurate catheter guidance. In order to improve patient safety, it will provide the interventionalist visual and haptic tools for assistance. In a novel approach, the platform fuses preoperative patient-specific anatomical information and intra-operative data from different sensors.
The collaboration between the IMS Institute of Mechatronic Systems and partners from the industry has proven itself to find many research and development solutions for complex and technical problems.
