ShoeExpert

ShoeExpert is a project where the Institute of Mechatronic Systems IMS of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW together with the Projectina AG as a partner develop an assistance system which will automate and facilitate the tasks of acquiring, analyzing and classifying shoe prints and tyre tracks. The system should be capable of reliably comparing data acquired in 2D and 3D. The results will be presented to the officers and/or experts for a final assessment.

Parkmate

Working in close collaboration with Siemens VDO (Germany), the IMS is developing the next generation of car parking-aid in the project «Parkmate». Parkmate is a system used for semi-automatic parking, in which cars and parking-spaces are measured and the optimal trajectory for parking is calculated.

SmartNavigate

The aim of the project «SmartNavigate» is to develop a vehicle that can navigate safely and collision-free on any
chosen trajectories.

The Institute of Mechatronic Systems IMS has developed an automatic parking-mechanism for cars, that can drive autonomously, detect and avoid obstacles and safely park in a chosen parking space.
