Aptitude test
Are you interested in studying Computer Science at the School of Engineering but
- are not sure whether you have the right skills?
- suspect that you may need to improve your mathematics?
- have never done any programming (in Java) before?
If this is the case, then you can take preparatory courses in mathematics and programming at the School of Engineering. These courses will help you get off to a successful and motivating start to your studies and can be booked either separately or together.
Detecting possible weaknesses: self-test
Complete these sample tests in mathematics and programming without using any resources in 60 minutes each. If you identify any weak points, we recommend you to take our preparatory course coupled with self-study. This will give you an optimal chance to prepare for your studies.
Mathematics
The mathematics training in this degree programme builds on the knowledge you acquired during a technical Vocational Baccalaureate. Start studying on your own several weeks before the preparatory course. During the preparatory course, you will have the chance to work on exercises to consolidate your skills.
Programming
The programming training in this degree programme builds on a fundamental understanding of programming. Please bring your own laptop to the preparatory course, since practical exercises play an important role. The software you require will be installed during the course.
