Practice-orientation
The degree programme in Computer Science is highly practice-oriented: from the first semester, you will work on solving practical problems. This will allow you to benefit from the close cooperation between the degree programme in Computer Science and the InIT Institute of Applied Information Technology and the InES Institute of Embedded Systems, both of which realise challenging projects with partners in industry and commerce.
The results of these collaborative projects are constantly integrated into the curriculum. While working on projects and on your Bachelor thesis, you will independently deal with current issues and problems, usually in close collaboration with a company.

Location evaluation for SOLAR energy with high-resolution GEO data
In this bachelor thesis, a web application prototype has been developed. It combines several sources of data that provide information about the photovoltaic potential of a building and, subsequently, delivers visual feedback of the properties calculated from the processed data.
DailyConnect - hitch a ride platform
With DailyConnect, you can create, search and book a ride on your smart phone. There are two points of views in DailyConnect. On the one hand, we have a driver and, on the other hand, there is a passenger. Both profit from our application. While the driver receives the refund of the ride, the passenger is transported to his or her favored destination. The backbone of DailyConnect is a Glassfish-driven server. The server is responsible for receiving the xml-based client requests and answering these requests accordingly.
