The concentrated expertise and methodological competence within the Center for Integral Logistics offers resources for multiple teaching applications in the School of Engineering and other departments of the ZHAW. Classic fields in logistics are covered, as well as new areas around e-business and multi channel management.
ERP Systems in Production and Logistics
The study module "ERP Systems in Production and Logistics" (ERPL) is part of the bachelor degree course ‘Industrial Engineering’ and covers the control and monitoring of core processes in the areas of production and logistics within an industrial enterprise.
After the successful completion of the module, the student knows the operational management and planning processes, as well as their reproduction in ERP systems, e.g. SAP R/3:
- Master data and transaction data in ERP systems
- Enterprise resource planning and inventory management
- Key figures from production and logistics and how to ascertain and assess them.
Logistics: Procurement, Production, Distribution
The study module "Logistics: Procurement, Production, Distribution" (LOGVS) is part of the bachelor degree course ‘Transportation Systems’ and covers fundamental aspects of logistics in the context of international value chains. The students learn to understand the importance of Supply Chain structures as well as materials management and of intra logistics.
After the successful completion of the module, the student knows the elements of procurement, production and distribution and is able to see the intercorrelation of these topics in the overall context of Supply Chain Management.
