In the fast growing internet and e-business sector, these tasks increasingly occur. simultaneously and are closely interconnected. Thus, logistics acquires a new dimension. It no longer guides the flow of goods and information alone, but also integrates the flow of values. In addition to the classical supply chain, the content supply chain is becoming more and more important.

Logistics is developing into a crucial factor in the competitiveness of businesses in many sectors and markets. The focus is on providing answers to questions regarding expandability, flexibility, effectiveness and efficiency, as well as the handling of optionality and uncertainty.

Sustainable logistics pursues the creation of corporate values by balancing economic and ecological efficiency. For us, “Green Logistics“ stands for the use of integrated logistics strategies and processes within corporations and corporate networks for the creation of environmentally compatible and resource-efficient values.

The Work of the Center for Integral Logistics

The Center for Integral Logistics has many years of experience designing logistical processes in manufacturing and service industries as well as in commerce and trade, and in international scientific research. The ZIL purposefully uses this knowledge for the benefit of its economic partners, as well as in teaching and further education.

MSE-students discovered the industrial world in China together with Chinese students from Guangzhou

Also in this year over 19 students of the degree program Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) participated at the three-week-course in China. The students of three different Swiss universities of applied sciences (SUPSI, HES-SO, ZHAW) discovered together with students from Guangzhou a part of China’s industry.
